Edinburgh Festival 2016 will have programs on current politics from Brexit to Trump

Edinburgh Festival 2016 will have programs on current politics from Brexit to Trump Edinburgh Festival 2016 is expected to be a mix of veteran comedians and newcomers who have an explosive 12 months of politics set to inspire the performers. There will be more than 3,000 acts and nearly 50,000 shows this year. The topics will range from the rise of Donald Trump, to Brexit, and the long-awaited Chilcot Report.
THis has been reported in news.sky.com dated 5 August 2016.
Marcus Brigstocke would perform a show on Trump, Boris and Brexit - it will be titled Why the Long Face. The comedian admits his show is as much about therapy as laughs. In his opinion, it is becoming harder than ever to keep up with the constantly changing political climate.
Other veteran comedians who hold promises of Brexit material include Rory Bremner, Al Murray, Alistair McGowan, Mark Thomas, Matt Forde and Russell Howard.
Apart from these, there will also be theater, music, opera and cabaret at the event - this annual event is expected to generate an estimated £142m for the Scottish economy.
