Mark Wahlberg talks about movie on Deepwater Horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico

In 2010, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig was involved in an explosion in the Gulf of Mexico in which eleven persons lost their lives. The explosion resulted in oil spills of unimaginable magnitude and a film on the subject is due to be released in UK cinemas.
This has been reported in news.sky.com dated 27 September 2016.
Speaking on the film, Mark Wahlberg has said he hopes that big oil companies will learn from the Deepwater Horizon explosion. The Oscar-nominated actor enacts the role of Mike Williams who was the last person to make it out alive from the BP oil rig.
The Deepwater Horizon explosion caused the worst oil spill in US history and, the movie teaches the importance of being calm under pressure. He expressed hope that enough has been done to ensure that such a disaster never happens again.
The lifestyle of oil rig workers also struck a chord for Wahlberg on a personal level because his job also takes him away from his family on a regular basis.
