Sandra Bullock planning an all-female version of Ocean's Eleven


Sandra Bullock had recently indicated that even though she liked men, she did not want the male roles to change. However, she would not mind going after a role if she felt that a woman can also play it. Accordingly,she has set her sights on an all-female reboot of the Las Vegas heist film Ocean's Eleven.

The 2001 film had starred George Clooney and Brad Pitt was a remake of the 1960 original starring Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack and it was a thundering success at the box office. Ocean's Eleven had given rise to two sequels.
Incidentally, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney had worked together in Gravity and the actress is currently promoting her new film Our Brand Is Crisis which clooney has produced.
In this film, she portrays the role of an election consultant. The role had been written with Clooney in mind till Sandra expressed a desire to play it herself.
Gary Ross, the director of the first Hunger Games film, is expected to lead the project which has the backing of Steven Sodenbergh who had directed the original trilogy.
