Bay City Rollers, the Scottish band, to hold a reunion gig in Glasgow

The Bay City Rollers, the Scottish band that was formed in the late 1960s, had a huge teen following in their 70s heyday and had sold more than 100 million records. Also known as he Shang-a-Lang singers, they are bringing back their tartan outfits and catchy tunes. This follows the announcing of a comeback tour 40 years on from the height of their fame.
This has been reported in news.sky.com dated 23 September 2015.
Rollermania had taken over both at home and abroad with their hits like Bye Bye Baby and Shang-a-Lang. Les McKeown, Alan Longmuir and Stuart Wood from the original line-up have promised to provide ‘a very special Christmas present to all the fans that have kept the faith with the band over the years’ with a gig at Glasgow's Barrowland on 20 December.
The Shang-a-Lang singers have revealed that they are playing a reunion gig in Glasgow for the fans – and, also, to top up their bank accounts.
The band had risen to fame producing numerous top 10 hits, sell-outs tours and their own TV show. But, they split up in 1978 following bitter battles over money between band members and managers that has dragged on for decades.
